Celebrating the International Day of Peace on 21 September, the Lutheran World Federation has signed on to a statement highlighting the urgency of peacebuilding for a post-pandemic world. This year, the annual observance inaugurated by the United Nations in 1981, is focusing on the theme ‘Shaping Peace Together’ amid challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
