In view of growing concern worldwide about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the LWF has cancelled events that involve international travel for staff and other participants during the months of March and April. The situation is being monitored, in the hope of finding alternative schedules or other ways of convening.

21st International Seminar for Pastors
The theological seminars in Wittenberg aim to promote the understanding of the circumstances and relationships in which Martin Luther lived and to relate Luther's insights in a constructive way to the contexts in which the participants live today.
The program also includes visits and excursions to historic sites of the Reformation, congregations in the region and places of interest pertaining to recent history such as Leipzig.
Led by Prof. Dr Gordon Jensen, Canada, and Rev. Dr Anupama Hial, India, a group of 23 pastors from all seven LWF regions will unfold the theme based on key statements in Martin Luther's writings .
Since 2009, the LWF has offered seminars for theologians from member churches around the world. They stay in Wittenberg for two weeks to work on issues of Lutheran theology with professors from universities in Germany and abroad.
The seminars are organized by the LWF Wittenberg Center.
